first you should make sure the barbed stinger is removed to avoid any more poison, which causes the pain. Then you can reduce pain and swelling with a cold pack, but the pain and itching may last for as long as a week. If a reaction persists for over a week or covers an area greater than 3 or 4 inches, seek medical attention.

anti-histamine cream or tablets. You could also try putting on Sudocream, its like miracle cream, works for any skin irritation and spots as well, put it on before you go to bed and when you get up the spots have gone no more redness. It will soothe the skin and stop you itching the bite. Ive been using it for years cant live without it. And its cheap approx £5 for 250g tub.

Antihistamine, should take care of your problem. Then go wash the dishes, some warm water might help circulate some extra blood to your hands to alleviate the irritation. Oh yeah Don't scratch the area it will only aggravate the problem.

Put some meat tenderizer on the sting, with a couple drops of water to make it stick.Tobacco also works to help draw out the poison.
Also, take a Benadryl if you have any.
