I was offered Plaxico Burress and Santonio Holmes for Antonio Gates.
I have both Gates and Tony Gonzalaz, however, I can only start one. I don't want to waste good talent, so I'm looking to trade the other. I am looking for WR. Can I do better or just hold on to them?

Unfortunately, Gates and Gonzalaz have the same bye week.

santonio holmes wont do much but burress is decent. i think you could get more for gates, who had pretty much the same stats as marvin harrison last year. although gates's numbers might drop a little bit this year with rivers in his first year starting, he should still get 1000 yards and 8-10 td's. if i were you i would try to trade gonzalez instead. if this is a yahoo league, then it is mostly about the touchdowns, therefore gates is gonna be great but gonzalez only had 2 last year and probably will get about the same this year. you could probably get a good wideout for gonzalez, someone like lee evans or keenan mccardell.

Depending on what kind of receivers you have, you may want to consider this trade. Gates is hands down the best tight end in the league, Gonzalez is very good though and if you have no good receivers, Plaxico Burress would be a fine addition. So if you need a receiver make the trade. If not keep Gates he will have better numbers then Gonzalez.

Don't do it. Gates is the top fantasy TE.

See if you can deal Gonzalez for those two and then its maybe worth it.

If you really want to trade Gates, you have to get a better WR then Burress. Gates is better than 95% of the WR in the league and will put up way better numbers than Burress and Holmes.

I'd do Burress for Gonzales, don't give away Gates for anybody. Gates racks up points like WRs at the TE position, Gonzalez is great, but Gates is just that important.

Plaxico is a good player, but I doubt holmes will play that much, and get receptions. Maybe try Plaxico for gonzalez. If not, Gates for plax+different wr.

Don't trade Gates..that'll be the dumbest move of your whole league. Get rid of Gonzalez..pick up a Ben Watson to cover your bye week..and move Gonzalez for a solid # 2 WR, or a backup RB of an injury prone starter...

Burress is going to have a good season but Holmes is unproven ... Counter and give him Gonzalez... Remember last season Gonzalez got off to a late start ... Holmes is an unproven rookie so there's no value there ... See if you can improve it by Shopping one of your stud TEs to other teams first

basically this trade boils down to Buress for Gates since Holmes is not likely to make a big impact this season.

I would hold on to Gates and try to trade Gonzalez for another Wide Reciever, theres no need to have 2 top flight tight ends since you only start 1.

Remember that there are bye weeks. You'll have to use both at some point.
And TE are a bit of a crap shoot, Maybe they'll be used maybe they won't. I'd hold on until after week one to gauge which of your TE you can part with.
