Are all Africans so ill-informed about The U.S. and other countries?
The Africans seem to think that all Americans think alike.
How naive can you be? When you come to The United States, you'll think you're on another planet at times. You will get lost in our airports.

I am American and I know about Africa and the countries within Africa and the Cities in the South of Africa. Not all Americans are alike but unfortunately as you precieve all to be stupid and living in a bubble. Many precieve Africa to be a big safari with no towns or streets just Lions roaming in your back yards with elephants in your front. I guess the point is not only should some Americans be more educated on the world but the World should be more educated on Americans.

I'm sitting here trying to think why you wrote the question, except to berate Americans. Well, as an official redneck (cows in the backyard, watch NASCAR and say "ya'll) I'm exceptually well-informed about Africa ... naivete has nothing to do with the fact that most of our citizens prefer to learn about our own 50 states, since they are, after all, our home.

Perhaps you might attract more American tourist dollars if you were positive about Americans, our curiosity, and our interests, rather than critical of our geographic knowledge. Perhaps, too, you might stand a better chance of global knowledge of your country by being peaceful rather than accusatory ...

Ya'll have a nice day.

I think that Idea is pretty much shared around the globe outside of Africa and not just the US.

But those bastards who do those Charity TV commericals in places like somolia, or the constant revolutions going on in other places certainly don't help Africa's image as a whole.

South Africa? That disease infested sh*t hole? You've got to be kidding me. I'd rather live in the local dump here than any city I've seen in South Africa. Or Africa in general for that matter.

You're quite mistaken. It's obvious you've only met the ignorant and stupid americans. I have been to South Africa and had a blast! However, your cities are pretty easy to get around in....

As George W. once said "Africa is a nation that suffers from incredible disease"

you're right - I'm a European living next door to you in Mozambique and Europeans also are incredibly ignorant of what Africa is really like.

True, I totally agree. There was a question posted on here recently by an american entitled, "Why is there no civilization in Africa?". Thankfully many people put him to rights.

It's a media thing. Many Africans believe the singing and dancing starts at JFK.

No. As a matter of fact, I know that Africa is a continent, and not a country.
