You love from the brain. The heart is a muscle with the only function to circulate blood around your veins. The brain knows what love is from young age. Feeling it , expressing it, sharing it, this is all the brains doing. The brain knows what love is. The heart couldn't care less.

Good question. It guess a few terms would need defining here.

Love is actually a function of the brain, although I believe the soul and God are at the bottom of it. Some would disagree since they don't think animals have souls. The heart only beats, and doesn't actually have any emotions at all.

Then there is the love from my nose which picks up pheromones from somebody's skin, or delights from my mother's oven which smell lovely, etc.

So that brings us back to definitions, ie, what is love.?

The brain is the source of feelings and thoughts. Loving from the heart is figurative.

The heart's function is to supply the entire body with blood by circulating oxygenated blood from the lungs. It has no emotional factor. The brain carries all the emotional baggage, it deals with love.

Any "fellings" you have come from the limbic system which is located in your brain. The most important part is known as the amygdala and is important for most of your basic feelings. The excitement and nervousness you get when in love is caused by a chemical known as phyenleythlamine (PEA). This chemical has an effect on your body( including your heart) that tricks your mind into thinking it is tingling, when in reality nothing is happening to it.

Well your brain works with the heart so i think you need both to love! You need the heart more though. you need the heart to retain that special feeling that you have for that person! The brain mainly remind your heart that love is there so i think people love from their hearts!

All our emotions and thoughts, including LOVE, is controlled by the brain. The HYPOTHALAMUS, specifically, controls love.

The heart has no other function than to pump blood. When you love someone at first sight, the heart would be instructed by hormones from the brain to beat faster, and this is what we feel. THis is why we figuratively refer to the love as coming from the heart.

everything we do or feel comes from the brain first...if you use your brain then you're smart,,,we just use the heart as an expression,,,don't think so much or your brain might burst out and your heart can stop...get it?
