It absolutely IS worth going!!! Besides, you're paying the money for it. You will learn things you did not know and what you learn will, at some point during your education, be very helpful to you. You learn the basics about college life as well as individual things such as: where to pay parking tickets, what student organizations have to offer, where you can get free tutoring if you need it, how to use the library, how to get e-mail access, how to use computer labs, when you need to go to financial aid, etc. It is indeed worth it!

Depends how bad you need the money from work. The orientation is free, so.., might as well take advantage of it and you might learn something/meet some interesting people. Plus that's 5 hours you won't be working : )

Are you a new student? If you are a new student and going to a really big school, I would recommend it. It's a way to get to know people and make friends. I'm going to my school's freshmen orientation. It sounds fun. Best of luck!

An education is not cheap, I would go, but it depends on comfort level in attending classes. If you understand the whole college thing, then I say no.If you have a real question about your school you can always ask someone on yahoo anyway!!

If you have already been to the school before and know your way around, then no, but if this is your first time at this school, then yes. This could also be the time you get important info, such as your class schedule, parking pass and your student i.d.

Go, and get the one-up on things! I mean if you have to pay anyway, why not? You learn all those little ins and outs that they wont bother to go over again and you might meet someone worth while.

If you have to pay for it anyways, you should go. You can usually learn something useful at orientation.
