The only pet I have now is named MiYuki. That is a Japanese name and means "Beautiful Blessing". My pet is a 5' 0.5", 97 pound, 33"/22"/32" female Homo Sapiens born 6/5/71 in Japan. My oldest sister has two cats named Bufffy and Shadow. The former is named for her color, and the latter follows Lois or me around like our shadows. My kid sister has a bulldog named Harley. She dresses him in a leather biker jacket and cap. She also has two Himalayan cats named Snowball and Fathead. The former is white, so one can see some logic in his name, but I don't know how she chose the name of the tortoise shell male. Dad named many dogs for their colors, e.g. Whitey, Brownie and Blackie. Some Jehovah's Witnesses of African ancestry once came to Dad's porch and began their silly spiel. The dog joined them, and Dad said, "Get off the porch, Blackie". The pests were scared and left with the dog. I teased Dad often, e.g. when he acquired a yellow dog,I asked him, "Are you going to name this one Yellowie?"

Well...I had a cat named Thuggery, and another named X-Phile.
And Seneca.
And Will-o-the-Wisp. And Basket. And Buddha.
And then there was Kajagoogoo.
And SamGamgee.
And I used to have a dog named Unbearable Stench.
Oh, and another cat named Gloriana Farterbottom.
And a rabbit named Gracipher.

Hey, what can I say? I've always LOVED animals, 'specially felines!

My mother called one of her cats P*ssy Willow. Shame he turned out to be a right thug, and regularly beat up the neighbouring cats. Must be because of his woofy name! Oh, and he was called that because he was born at the time the catkins were out, and that's a common name for the willow tree that the catkins can be found on. Nothing salacious there!
(Had to asterisk out the "u" - Answers wouldn't let me have that!)

As a newborn I had a budgie that we called Rover (my mum wanted to call it something stupid like petey) and that i now have a cat called marmalade because of fact she is orange (like marmalade). I additionally had a pal whos cat became called Deefer (D for canine, geddit?) It became the dumbest mutt i've got ever encountered.

' Nookie Nookie ' haha that's very amusing !!

Mmm, how about pistaccio (pis-tah-chi-oh) it's a funkier version of the well known nut ' pistachio '.
You can name your dog pistaccio because he's a nut ?
As in hyperactive and silly :) haha.

I hope you like my idea.

I know a woman who named her dog "Menchee". I assumed it was a Filipino thing until I learned that it was named after her daughter's ex. The name stands for "men cheat".
