There was a torture method used by the Mafia in the 1920s - they would tie a person up being held by the arms and legs and slowly lower the naked person unto a pyramid of steel - mind you, it was basically a tripod of steel with the very tip being made sharp.
Now, the person would slowly be lowered unto the point with his legs spread wide open, the point piercing into the area between the genitals and the anus.
He would be lowered until his full weight would be placed, all the while they would be breaking bones, snapping off nails, cutting of chucks of skin and burning the holes shut, putting insects on them, etc, etc.
Of course, each time the person shook or moved because of the pain, he would impale himself/herself deeper with the metal, eventually piercing the person were the legs could literally be grabbed and pull the person apart down the middle.

PS: (edit) - to all those people that answered above going ohnoes!howdareyouaskthis!!! - leave the question asker alone - it's called open your mind, there is thousands of methods of destroying a human being - and unfortunately MOST of these have been used. There is a whole line of history majors that all they do is try to figure out what torture methods each culture used. It's a basic fact of life, people will kill other people, get over it.
All the guy is asking is trying to get information on creativity of each person, I wasn't creative - I just came up with info I've read in books. However, closing your mind is the stupidest thing you can do in this world.

How about hanging them upside down and skinning them alive , then allow the ants to finish them off . EHEHEHEHEH!! Now that is gruesome . or Bury them up to the neck and let the ants have a field day .
