It took me six months to cancel mine it was a nightmare, I actually cancelled my direct debit and they still kept my account open. In the end I had to seriously threaten em with legal action and when I tried to change my account to BT they did everything they could to obstruct it. It was really stressful if am honest. You just have to be really determined and stick to your guns

Continuously keep calling until you are sure that the account is cancelled, watch that you are not billed after you cancel... they have tendency to do that

Just phone them and say you want to cancel. They'll probably offer to extend your membership for 6 months for free like they usually do!

Tell them that you want to cancel, get the confirmation #, and change your credit card #, otherwise they'll keep billing you.

I didn't have much trouble. They'll try to talk you out of it 2 or 3 times, but you just have to be persistant.
