We had no reason to look for something like that. Thanks to 9-11 the security is so tight now that even the slightest suspicion can delay a flight for hours (which is a good thing). Now that they did stop those planes, we are no longer allowed to take anything that is a liquid substance on board. No shampoo and conditioner, no hair gels, sprays, no sunscreen, no lotions, no beverages. and the list goes on because we don't have anything to detect explosives in liquids. I gaurentee that they will come up with a solution for that problem with in a couple of years. I'm as upset as you that 9-11 happened. I am so glad that they did stop those 10 planes. Could you imagine what would have happened if they didn't? Be glad that they are on the look out. How many terror plots have been stopped since 9-11....quite a few actually and there were some unfortuate events as well; such as the London bombings. You have to remember that everything happens for a reason. Perhaps, those 4 planes were to happen... to make us aware of something in the future...Perhaps, these 10 planes or even something else.

The saudi al queda agents from 9/11 were taken off the no-fly lists, the fbi seperated itself from its agents awakenings and a fire cheif from the wtc. Therefore when the planes fell off the radar Norad was unwilling shoot down planes with americans aboard. The political unrest would have been tremendous had they killed they're own people.

The problem that comes out of this is that the policies that the thinktankers were entertaining needed a catylyst, so one could reason that the govt from the president down to military command gave the ole' and let al queda bypass the system. Thus giving pretext for all the machinations of the administrations dreams. If you rewrite history or just delete it then what becomes a tragedy turns into a blessing for war mongering and the like. The need to put a massive army on the ground in eurasia was the best bet for the reason they let the four planes get through. Some conspiracy theorists believe it was only three planes and a tomahawk that hit the pentegon. Not hard to imagine when there is no evidence of a jetliner there.

it's like this. the 4 planes were actually sent by the us government. they were b-52s disguised as commercial planes and they were able to get the passengers on board by telling them they would be getting a free cruise. the 10 planes were stopped because the government realized at the last minute that people would become suspicious and find out about their evil plan for world domination

There were red flags that went up before Sept 11, 2001. However, it wasn't taken as seriously as it should have been.

Since that day, I think that many countries are taking security much more seriously. And they are investigating the information that they receive about such things.

I honestly think that on Sept. 11 our government was not prepared to handle a terrorist strike of that magnitude. Since then I think that we (especially the UK) have developed more technology and know how to stop a plot before it happens. With luck we will be able to continue to thwart further attempts. We, our governments and our citizens can not get complacent as the terrorist look for more ways to destroy us.

Because the brits have no problem with trying to be politically correct when investigateing crimes of this nature, where here in the US you'd have to get a court order, check with the aclu and make sure no ones feelings are going to get hurt by an investigation.

Well for one before Sept 11 we were in a comfort zone and since then our security measures have increased tremendously...Sounds like you just wanted to vent a little instead of asking a logical question.

And also because they didn't take off...Try to stop a Boeing airliner flying...You will need either a fighter airplane or a ground to air missile...and yet, you will need the authorization to kill hundreds of civilians by firing a single weapon...
