Unfortunately it is not the reverse effect as some states allow common law marriages...you have to go through the legalities of it all. There are different ways to file for the divorce depending on whether or not you know where your spouse is. There is a packet you can pick up rom the clerk of the court and divorce your spouse by publication in the newspaper. If you call their local office they can give you more info on it and the cost as far as I know is around $300.00.

Well, it might seem like it , but the Judge of the court will be the one to tell you the facts . Like someone else said - " Why aren't you divorced" . You have waited a long to time to be sure your separation will work . Well it has , and now it's time to make a final decision ....

No, you still need to file the proper paper work because you are still married. That means that if you died tonight, that person that you have been separated from for 15 years will get your possessions and vice versa. Is that what you want?

UM LETS SEE---NO!!!!!!!!!!! REGARDLESS OF THE LENGTH OF TIME YOU STILL HAVE TO PROCEED WITH THE ACTUAL DIVORCE ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO GET REMARRIED. ALL A SEPERATION ALLOWS YOU TO DO IS ACT AS IF YOU WERE SINGLE AND KEEPS YOU FROM BEING HELD LIABLE FOR THE OTHER SPOUSES ACTIONS. GO GET AN ATTORNEY FOR THE FACTS
