I also think they will be extremely strict if you are travelling to America.

It might be a good idea if you are going abroad or in some case in other parts of the UK. You may well needs them to get out of the Airport and get through Customs. So the best thing is to keep them with you at all times. Just see what happens when you don't, see the programme Airline with EasyJet

Don't think so, now that your allowed hand luggage again and you can take a handbag with you now, but check with the airport your going with, have a good holiday.

call your airport before you leave home
i heard this morning on bbc that you are now allowed to carry 1 item of hand lugguage although there are restrictions on liquids etc.
check bbc.co.uk/breakfast
they have the news updates on it
