Sorry people but I have to disagree. There are some people out there who have studied cards and are really good. Reading Tarot is not a spooky business it's about reading, learning and understanding symbology and it takes a long time. If you want to get your cards done, sit silently and let them do all the talking, keep looking at the cards and try not to look at their face because there may be a level of cold reading in someone who is rubbish and only out to make a quick buck. Finally, get a recommendation from a friend who has already been to someone to get their cards read.

It depends on who does the reading. It might be best to ask at a local metaphysical shop. They usually know lots of readers that read different types of cards. And, in my experience, the readers who do it for little or no money are usually more honest than those that you pay a lot for. The people who do readings for a living need you to like what they say so you will come back, but the ones who do it to help others will give you straight answers.

Just read a couple of answers from "dipstick from Croydon", You knowwhat I mean. Sorry Croydon, didn't mean it. But, I have been reading cards for many years and not once have I received a negative response. It is not the cards themselves a person 'reads', the image on them alters the readers mind image and it is that which is translated for the seeker. We do not stop going to the doctor because of a 'Shipman' type Dr. Therefore don't stop seeking just because there are a few bad ones around.

It depends entirely on the skill of the Reader, and there's where your problem lies. Finding the right person.
Many, many are fake. Some sincerely believe in their interpretations of the cards, but lack the true talent necessary to handle them. Reading Tarot is an art.

not reliable at all if you listen to the answers you give to the card reader you know there picking up snippets of your life and using it to read the cards you've dealt.
i've found clairvoyants that dont have cards are the best and i know it's hard but tryt not to give anything about yourself away then you may get a reliable reading. although like i learnt years ago the only one who is in charge of your future is YOU. it should be fun not to be lived by
