The place that exists north of the north pole. Wait.... it doesn't exist, so I guess Atlantis doesn't either.

Several differnt answers:

The fact is that Plato was speaking bothof the country so named and of its capital city. Atlantis' capital was called by the same name as the country, as was so often the case in antiquity.
