It's best to keep it in the fridge if you are going to use it within a week. Don't freeze it unless you won't be using it right away, because freezing it can break down some of the good properites of the milk.

The link below has a chart for you about how long the milk will keep at different temperatures. Print it out and stick it on your fridge!

Basically -
room temp - 10 hours
fresh milk in the fridge - up to 8 days (be sure NOT to put it in the door.....the back middle is best to keep it cold)
self contained freezer compartment of fridge - 3-6 months (varies some mom to mom and how it's stored - again, keeping it away from the door will help keep it good longer)
deep freeze - 6 - 12 months

If it's fresh milk, it can be stored in the refrigerator between 5 to 7 days.

If you freeze it in a regular freezer/refrigerator, 4 months.

If you freeze it in a deep freezer, up to 12 months.
