There are a few NGO's who are always on the look-out for people with the kind of experience you have . You could check out in Singapore, Malaysia and India for suitable openings. Or, in the Gulf region, where you are now! All the best!

Post your resume on Internet sites such as Monster.com, or YAHOO jobs.
However, take your time, and ask for some assistance from your associates when you prepare the resume information. (TIP: Review what information will be needed to "complete" your resume on the web site. Then, use a text editor (NOTEPAD) to compose answers for the questions - and double check spelling and grammar. You need to be able to "copy and paste" your information into the web sites - hence use a plain text editor.
Your resume should present your skills and your employment objectives. The resume will be seen primarily in the USA, but worldwide exposure is also a possibility.
Sell your talents as a UAE based consultant who is available to businesses worldwide.
Many of these web sites sell other services.... investigate them before spending money..... some services may not be worth the price.
Good luck and good fortune!

Look for jobs with the UN as translators/interpretors. There are freelance interpretors (Arabic) who work from home and make about US $50,000 per year. Also check out International Aid organizations, or companies doing business in the region (oil, transportation, and engineering sectors especially).
Good luck!

There's loads of company, just look on the jobsearch. Regardless of whether you have a degree or not you have enough experience to back it up.. Also if you've worked in places like what you mentioned, you must know lots people in the high ranking positions. You can try to ask them if work.

I recommend you apply for a job in Brown & Root, Halliburton, or go to the offices of the Provisional Authority in Baghdad or in Basra, Iraq.
You might visit Doha, and scan the newspapers there.
I wish you best of Allah's blessings. Be confident, and dare to adventure.

Monster , Yahoo Hotjobs, Careerbuilder are some of the largest job boards, where you can apply for jobs and upload your resume. Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.

Translators always are needed if you enjoyed that work. Places like UNICEF and other agencies that sponsor children need translators so that the kids can correspond with their sponsors. That would be rewarding work. Good Luck!
