I would like to know what makes people happy and I mean real internal satisfaction/happiness not delusional happiness i.e. on drugs, watching brain drain T.V shows or eating junk food, drinking etc. Please well thought answers only!

sharing a joke with someone or laughing with a friend or colleague makes me happy. i love to laugh.

As was said earlier, getting a best answer is a great feeling.
I also feel really happy when I get praise for a good job at work. I'm the lowest rank where I work, and am doing a job above my rank, so when I'm told I've done something well, it's a sense of achievement.

Waking up each morning next to my husband, knowing we are not separated in prison any longer. We were both held for 6 months without any charges in a spanish jail and only allowed to see each other 40 minutes a week, then 1.5 hours per month in private, to be with him 24/7 again, makes me so happy each day and its the first thing I thank the powers above for each day

Seeing the people i treasure the most, happy, and if they're not, i find joy in making them feel better. I find happiness in piano-playing too and basically being able to make a difference in people's lives makes me happy and glad.

I believe that if you look at it correctly life can make you happy. I say this because of the things that have happened through the years, I just wake up and keep on smiling.

I enjoy writing. It nice to have a way to express yourself, and I'm very timid when having to speak. With a pen though, I can talk much more freely :)
It's just easier for some reason, it's hard to explain...but it makes me happy.

In life there are many small but very valuable moments that make you very happy
When mother sees her baby for the first time, there are no words to explain her happiness .

The things my daughter says makes me happy. She is only 3 1/2., Some things she has said, "It's funny to laugh." I bumped my coconut." and so forth.

Being with my husband and son is what really makes me happy.
Know that they are well and be able to help them in any time.
When I can help other people, specially the ones who are sad for any reason, makes me happy too.

A sense of achievement makes me happy, whether its somwthing out of the ordinary or just something i was having trouble with. i like it when i feel proud of something.
Also, when people appreciate you for who you are. Too many people takes others for granted or pick them up and put them down. As a very thoughtful person it makes me happy when i'm appreciated.
