Love + Money + Health = Happiness

Yes there is a formula for happiness.

1. Give up all desires for selfish gratification beyond the bare necessities of eating only what is absolutely necessary, basic shelter and clothing, no sex life at all, and sleeping very little. 2. Devote yourself completely to spiritual life and God realization.

Each of us is a pure spiritual being with an eternal relationship with the Lord. Because we have forgotten that relationship we ask how to be happy. Regaining our relationship with the Lord puts us back in touch with the reservoir and source of all pleasure, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is the only eternal happiness. Everything else -- family, friends, money, etc. are very temporary and come with their own set of problems and misery.

Which one do you think it is?...
1)...The love from family and friends, good health and the contentment and love for mankind = happiness...Or....
2)...Having a good paying job, a loving partner and alot of money = happiness...well... If you said number two your wrong. Studies have shown people with a life of 'person number two,' happiness never lasts long for them because, work life over takes social life causing stress leading to unhappiness then depression. The majority of us today would pick number two since society implies that we should have all these things to obtain happiness. Look at most celebrities taking drugs and committing suicide.

The best formula I've seen is Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs. We are creature who always seek more, and the order of or seeking is laid out quite neatly by Maslow.

1. Physiological Needs
2. Safety
3. Love & Belonging
4. Esteem
5. Actualization
