Why do we celebrate Diversity in America but we always want people to be just like everyone else. People always get mad that other people don't think like them or believe what they believe yet we constantly talk about how it's ok to be different. I don't get that mentallity...Does anyone else ever wonder about that?

We like to celebrate the idealism of the matter, but obviously we don't obey or actually partake in what we celebrate. Yes it is a terrible thing to do. We must want to believe we are better than we are. Though there are some people that respect and enjoy the diversity of people. Most are closed minded individuals and who knows when that'll change.

yep everyday. The issue is'nt neccesarily diversity but rather the lack of mutual respect. Its generally the people that say they are the most compassionate and caring that really are'nt. The beauty of the freedoms we have in this country is that we have the right to do what ever we'd like so long as it does'nt infringe upon the rights of others. Theres the rub. Its when any group or ethnicity plays itself up to the point where its beating other people over the head for acceptance, then thats wrong.
