It depends on where I'm going to.
If I was inside, but going out, then I'll have to stay out until you let me in. If I was outside, going in, then you've got me trapped.
Most people only lock a door behind themselves, but a prison guard might lock a door behind a prisoner. If the prisoner is going in, it's to stop that prisoner escaping. If the prisoner is going out, it's to stop the others escaping.

The question is if you have locked them out,
Are they really locked out OR are you actually locked in?
Who has ended up with the shortest end of the stick in this situation?
