I believe he broke it when he was born and nobody ever fixed it, because when he is sitting on the ground his right front foot just slides sidways and sometimes his back foot will just step and stand on it. He doesn't seem bothered by it at all. Do you think the doctors could fix it? Perhaps re-break it?

Also when he's in the yard running his foot is fine. It's only when he's idle that it's a problem. All my friends laugh at him!

What would you do with him? Love him the same? Even though he's a disabled bunny. (His name is Forrest Gump!)

If your rabbit is coping with this defect then don't put him through any more stress with a treatment that might not work. Also he might not be able to go through the anasthetic that the vet would have to use to operate on him. Please just love him all you can and look after him. A very apt name for him aswell.
Have alook at my web site for care sheets.

my jack russel is exactly the same! but I swear her leg / foot works perfectly well it is just that she prefers to lift it up when she runs - i think so she can run faster! the vet says some small animals just do this and they aren't in any pain so I think you're rabbit is just adorably individual :) just like my jack russel!

i had a bunny and he sprained his leg.. he got it caught in a milk crate.. he seemed okay we took him to the vet and they just said perhaps it will heal on its own and it did..

unless its creating a problem for him.. and he seems in pain i imagine he'll be fine.. :)
its not like hes in the wild where he needs to get away quick
