there are many reasons which could lead to polyuria, such as stress, misregulation of your endocrine system such as hormone secrection (i.e. lack secrection of ADH to conserve body fluid), high blood pressure and kidney failure, also diabetes. just go to the doctor and have a body check before it's too late. if it happens at night only, i think there is something wrong with your endocrine system, since melatonine ( from your brain pineal gland) is a hormone that regulates your sleep and it has some other unknown function any way i think you should drink more water every day than just a cup.

How glad I am to meet a fellow sufferer! I get up at least 3 times a night, and go dozens of times every day. I have had every test known to man. I do not have diabetes, nor an infection. They finally think it must be interstitial cystitis (look it up-there are a few good web sites). I never found anything which helps, and I have tried loads of drugs. Coach journeys and good night's sleeps are distant memories to me! (I'm 47-yr old female by the way). Feel sorry for you though as I presume you are young. Have all the tests, but don't be surprised if they show nothing. You may have to live with it!

The only thing I would think of is drinking too much coffee or something. However, because you say you dont drink much kind of puts it out of context.
When you get older, your body gets use to 'holding' it until you wake up. Notice a certain age when kids stop wetting the bed because their brains tells the body to hold it in -- in simple English term. Maybe your brain isnt setting out those kind of signals. Maybe a possibility?????
My advice is to get this checked with a doctor and rule out the possibilities of what causes this.
I hope this bathroom issue gets sorted and you can get some sleep. Good luck!!!

I noticed that you had another post and you mentioned stress. I went to see someone about food intolerance, I was only there for an hour and I went to the toilet about five times. She said that stress caused this. It might be different in your case, but I think that the stress is probably the cause for your other problem.

Go and see your doctor, this does have a name, but unfortunately I can't think of it right now!!!! But, yes, see your doctor. That is not good for you. I think its called Overactive Bladder Syndrome ??? Not sure about the last name, but something like that. Take care.

Excess Urination is a sign of Type 2 Diabetes. It's probably not that, but please go see your doctor to get an answer.

i think its better you get a check up with your doctor... when it has something to do with our health we should not take any risk... maybe you have diabetes coz one symptoms is always going to the toilet..or maybe you do have urinary problems.
