One of the client's of my boss (solicitor) used to work for Golden Wonder Crisps. From time to time she would either phone up or come into the office and get the staff to practice their customer service skills on a 'difficult' client. She would give us feed back on how we dealt with her.

Ask existing clients how they feel things could be done differently.

Outsourced courses can be good, bad or mediocre, but most are expensive. Force the issue of customer service with your staff. Provide perks or bonuses for the best people, but get them trained somehow.

What do you want to do specifically? Training for call centres can be so in depth, and not possible to go into too much detail on here. There are many aspects to improvong the standards in calls/customer service, depends on whether your staff are phone based or customer facing, feel free to email me, i have been a call centre trainer and a team manager so may be able to give you some ideas

Answering continuous calls concerning the company, in a call center setting depending on the company anywhere between 60-200 calls per day, being patient, and knowing how to be nice NO MATTER WHAT, knowing how to empathize, and say "thank you" & " I apologize" for everything.

perhaps employ people whos first language is english, try being scottish and trying to pay a bill to someone in India who dosent understand a word im saying and vice versa.
