Skills, talent, tenure?
Maybe the coach sees something in your ability, to promote you...or he doesn't have a clue on what to do, and it's your team to lead, either by example, or with some knowledge....
Either that, or it's an honorary position, everyone gets to be captain, and next week, it's someone else's turn....
I'd ask him what's going on, and what the job entails.

well.. that's a good thing, but if u don't wanna be the captain, then choose someone else to be.

even i dont know what soocor means
but i think that if some one reach a certain place like you discribe
so
it means you work hard and made every possible thing to complete your work
and reaching that place is a gift from GOD to make you happy
