Should I used different nails for the framing and the decking? I plan on using a framing nailer.

You should never nail decking. It's just not going to last. Screws are available especially for this job and will hold 100% better than any nail made. And they are easier and faster to install than nails if you have the proper driver.
You can even rent the driver at your local home supply store.

Use galvanized deck screws. Won't rust and easy to remove if repairs are necessary later on. Use a driver bit in a variable speed drill. It will go real fast.

Use hot dipped galvanized 16d nails to nail the deck boards. I would strongly suggest using deck screws though, they will never begin to pop.

we just finished our deck and we used screws they hold better than nails, we found this out the hard way the last one we built we used nails and were always having to go back and hammer in the nails that come up. We used regular deck screws, takes longer but you're better off in the long run.

Would use a nail with glue on it... where it will not back out after a year in the weather/ or screws...2" and 2 1/2" It is slow but will last...

well i can't add no better answer than you got screws are the way to go because wood swells and shrinks with the weather and no matter what nails you use they will pop up an dhave to be hammered back

I would definitely screw down my decking instead of nailing it.Screws hold much better.

16p for the framing. 8p for the decking if you are using a 5/4 material and 12p for a 2x material.. However, I would take the time and screw the decking down.

Don't waste time go to Home Depot and tell them what you want to do and they will give you every thing short of a road map
