Anyone know any common pesticides used on produce?

Ok. So, I guess a better question would be, how much of theses pesticides remain on the apples you buy in the grocery store and does washing apples with water effectively remove the pesticides?
I only ask because I am having the same issue as mg with the itchy swollen lips and whatnot. And I think my apples are to blame!

good question although it seems there may be too many answers. I get itchy swollen lips and a scratchy throat from eating *fresh* apples. I must be an insect...
