hello there..cd writer problem...plz help!!!?

Question

I had written a cd successfully from my acer laptop but when i tried to read it it said it was a blank one...bt nero and even xp showed that the cd was written successfully..so what was the error?? the device is a dvd rom cd rw..though it also suceessfully reads other cds n dvds burnt on other pcs.could you plz suggest an remedy to this problem!!!

is it an hardware error or what??
i have even tried reinstalling windows bt it was of no help..

i did it on a an multi session...bt i dont think it matters as the xp writer doesnt do multi sessions..so!!!!!!

Mostly,, it is CD media problem,,, try to read it on another computer, if it failed then the problem is in your CD disk media,, however,,u did not tell if u use multisession or not,, as some CD disks and drives do not support multisession recording even if your recording program support it

i agree. go to the website of the company that makes your drive, and download and install the newest drivers for your drive. if its liteonit, just go buy a new drive.
