the best thing about love and happiness is that you would do anything to brighten your spouse's day.you always put their interests and preferences before your's.so i think it is natural.

People should be complete on their own, and enhanced when in good relationships. It's irresponsible to look to one person to meet all your needs, but it should be clear which needs are sacred. For instance, in most marriages both men and women are content if their spouses have friends of their own gender to meet their need for friendship and playtime. But it isn't generally accepted to allow a spouse to look to someone else for their sexual needs.
A huge obstacle in marriage is how to deal with unmet expectations. We are all eventually disappointed in someone, or they don't measure up to what we expected. That's because we marry other humans who are flawed. It's how you handle your disappointments and unmet expectations that determines how successful your marriage is.
If you are feeling like more is being asked of you than you can give, then I recommend marriage counseling. This is a good, safe way to talk about what are healthy versus unhealthy expectations, with a third unbiased party.

I know I do not satisfy my spouse in all ways, just as he does not satisfy me in all ways. I don't think that's humanly possible for anyone to do. But I think we both come as close as possible.

I feel that each person is responsible for their own happiness, love, depressions etc. One should never expect another person to fulfill the things that can be fulfilled by yourself.
If you're not happy with yourself.....you can't make another person fulfill what you lack!
