I guess a lot of people would think it a bit strange to love animals more than people. However if you were "In Love" with an animal then that would be wrong. I know plenty of pet owners who love their animals, but I don't know anyone who loves animals more than people.

No but keep your priorities straight. It can get pretty stupid when people put animals on a pedestal and say they are more important than humans. Peta people aren't always what they say they are you know. If they love animals so much why do so many of them wear leather shoes? I have been to some protests where here in Calif and saw most of them wearing leather shoes or belts etc they say the don't like furs but they relly just don't like rich people, while most of them have money or are concerned with how much you make or have before they will really associate with you. Hypocrits and socialists thats PETA

Depends what kind of 'love'. Surely the question should be 'is it wrong to like some animals more than people?' I mean does anybody really love spiders or crocodiles?

Take this as a big, resounding, conclusive YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, provided you aren't one of those beastamaniacs, you should think about why you would.
Are you such a controlling person that you prefer animals because they don't answer back or have their own opinions?
Is it because you lack social skills, which allows people to over-rule and control you - this is a confidence thing.
The only other possibility is that the people in your life are such @rseholes that animals are the best company you can find. In which case, you need to find new people. I promise you, people are much more rewarding.

I was in Southern Egypt once where we were surrounded by lots of children who were begging for food. My Grandmother saw passed the children and pointed out a srawny little dog and said that she felt sorry for it. Thinking about it now still makes me feel angry.
There is nothing wrong with loving an animal, but to feed a dog over a hungry child is wrong in my opinion.

No, Bobby, it's not wrong. Animals are far more worthy of our love than almost all humans as evidenced right here in the terrible answers you've gotten so far. Animals return love unconditionally. Something few humans are capable of. Here are a couple of lovable examples:

Animals are always loyal, never have anything bad to say to you and love you unconditionally, unlike most people. It's always good to have a healthy relationship with people as well though.

No, animals ask only to be loved and fed and they always give back what they receive, it's just a shame that so many people are hurting them!
