Read "Worlds in Collision" by Emanual Velikovsky, according to him, the Earth, mars and Venus have nearly collided several times in the very anciant past and the earth has changed rotation, mars may have too. Also, tidal forces between earth and mars stripped mars of all its water, thats where it went -into space between the two planets, and later on the earth passed thru this space puddle and possibly caused Noahs flood as rain fell for forty days and nights- sounds farout but read the book- it is not nonsense- has lots of footnotes and cannot be disproven- also this doesn't explain away God, he works thru his physical laws that He created with this universe

It has not.
Mars is revolving around it.s axis in about 24hrs and 30 min.
It will do so for as long as we can imagine.Venus has perhaps changed it's spinning direction though.
It did so probably a few billion yrs ago following a cataclismic colission with some other planetary stuff.
Venus is the only planet spinning east-west, and verry slowly (about 250 earth day)
What's your professor teaching, music or something like that?

Mars has not changed its rotation direction.

It also will not look as big as the Moon - now or ever. This rumor started with an email that has been misquoted again and again - the original email said..."At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye." (see source for full story)

Still, it will look great through a telescope and now is a good time to go out and see it !!

You may be thinking of the idea that the tilt of Mars' axis, called the obliquity, has changed dramatically over millions of years. It is believed that the Earth's tilt is held stable by the influence of our large Moon, but Mars' two moons are too small to provide that stability and its axial tilt changes chaotically over long time periods.

MARS HAS NOT CHANGED ITS SPINNING DIRECTION AND NIETHER WILL IT BE VISIBLE WITH THE NAKED EYE ON AUGUST 28!!!!!!!! IF mars is ever visible to the naked eye, i wouldnt grab your telescopes, i would start saying a couple prayers(if you believe in that sort of thing) because the planet would of lost its orbit and it getting bigger would mean that it was coming at us.

Mars will be the brightest object in the sky on the 27th of August (or is it 28th?)... it will seem like the sky had two moons... that would be like super-WOW!

It has? What's your evidence? And why does everyone just accept what this person has said as truth? He/she asks (I think - the English is obviously left things vague through no fault of his/her own) "if" anyone knows it has. I ain't heard thing one about it! Let's see what happens.
