Not sure what a "J&K Resident" is??
If you are a visa national you will need to apply to your nearest British Mission for a visitor visa.
If you are a non-visa national you can be granted 6 month stay on entering the UK.
if you intend on staying longer than 6 months you will need to apply for a work permit / highly skilled / spouse / etc.

You need to go to the British Embassy. They'll answer your questions, give you paperwork and eventually process your visa. Good luck.
