Stereotypes are your ideas about a people or group of people based on what you see, or what you've experienced through a circumstance that happened to you. It would be like this: Say you were of Asian descent and you saw a bunch of American teenagers robbing an old man, you might think that all American teenagers were robbers, or mean to old people. That would be stereotyping, based on what you saw, not on what actually was. What you could say is that those teenagers acted harshly and wrongly, and you wouldn't be stereotyping them, you'd be making a true statement. People think that all terrorists come from Islamic nations, but it's not true. People stereotype a people based on the actions of a few. Many years ago, it was said by many people that the only good Indian was a dead Indian. Americans were talking about the Native American Indians, and based their stereotype on the actions of a few who looted and killed many white people. I could keep going, but I think you get the idea now. There's good and bad in all people. Not everyone who's poor is a lazy, dirty moocher. But because a few are, they are all put in the same category. It's not fair. Everyone should be judged based on what they've done and who they are, not on the actions of a few from their group, family or country. When we learn about each other, it helps us understand better. <*)))><

Stereotypes are considered to be a group concept, held by one social group about another. They are often used in a negative or prejudicial sense and are frequently used to justify certain discriminatory behaviors. More benignly, they may express sometimes-accurate folk wisdom about social reality.
Often a stereotype is a negative caricature or inversion of some positive characteristic possessed by members of a group, exaggerated to the point where it becomes repulsive or ridiculous.
Stereotype production is based on:
Simplification
Exaggeration or distortion
Generalization
Presentation of cultural attributes as being 'natural'.
Stereotypes are seen by many as undesirable beliefs which can be changed through education and/or familiarization. However, stereotypes need not be confined to negative characterizations about individuals or groups, and can thus have positive characterizations.
There are also genuinely positive stereotypes about groups. Some groups have, as a deliberate political strategy, tried to evolve new genuine positive stereotypes for themselves.

Low constancy or lo-fi describes a valid recording which includes unintended artifacts, which includes distortion or environmental noise, or a recording which has a constrained frequency reaction. This stands compared to extreme constancy or "hi-fi". In digital audio lo-fi frequently refers to an audio record with a decrease bit price or sampling price, and hence a decrease sound high quality. each now and then extreme constancy recording is prevented, or the artifacts are deliberately retained or further to all or area of the recording for inventive causes. This decision is often made by technique of the record producer. some argue particular unique aural features are available in in uncomplicated words with "low-tech" recording skill. Examples of lo-fi-type sounds comprise recordings of vinyl crackles on compact discs, as on Portishead's album Dummy, and telephonic vocals on Craig David's song "Fill Me In" (inspite of the undeniable fact that those 2 are literally not acknowledged as "lo-fi" bands).

A Stereotype is a thought that people have about others that they claim is true but isn't. Saying something like all Gay people are good at music. Some gay people may be good at music but does it mean that all are good at it? No.
Stereotypes are usually nothing more than a popular lie.

I think you are mixing up words...
the same prefix does not imply the same meaning: Stereo in HiFi is there for "Stereophonic", hence from greek etymology "stereo" for Solid, 3D and Phonic, sound.
Stereotype is from stereo "solid" type "model", so the creation of a consolidated model that is supposed to fit all.
You see? not at all the same thing.
