My wife is having an affair. I discovered that she has a secret e-mail a/c?

Does anybody know if it is possible to search through the history files or whatever on my computer to find the user name and password? I would appreciate only serious answers as this is very painful for me. I had no idea.

Sorry, pehaps I should have been clearer. I am not basing my fears solely on the fact that she has another e-mail. There are other pointers which I will not go into here. Secondly, leaving her is not the easy option because there are two small children involved.

Well, unless she clicked on a 'remember me' button somewhere your computer will not retain that information. But if your wife is anything like me, then she would make sure that the computer does not remember any of her passwords or usernames. Instead, why don't you talk to her and find out what's been happening? Just think about what you may find if you somehow managed to get into her e-mail accounts! If she's been having an affari, heaven only knows what she may be writing to him/her and vice versa. What if you were to see shocking photos? Best is to just talk to her, that way you are hurt a lot less. Believe me there are things you really don't want to see!!!! Good luck, I hope your marrige will survive.

First unless you have solid proof that your wife is having an affair then I'm sorry this has happened to you and your daughters, if there is no solid evidence then do not accuse her.

My best friend (over 23 years married) was accused of seeing someone her husband hacked into her e-mail, she didn't know he would do this, found NOTHING, but the trust went out the window after this, now she HAS a secret e-mail for family and friends only its all above board no hanky panky.

She was NOT having any fling/affair whatever you want to call it, he was the one that was insecure, but believe me things will never be the same if you do this.
And as for people slagging your wife off and calling here names I'm sorry i do not agree with this there is no need for this when someone needs your help.

Don't stoop to covert missions. Tell her what you know and ask her what you need to. Sorry you are hurting, Precious. Don't give up yet... find out why she's done this and see if you both can heal. But don't sneak.. it just causes pain. I don't have to tell you that, you know all too well. Confront her and be sincere. By the way, NO you can't find out a password without a "keystroke counter" or without resetting the account, both of which would make things bad and she'd find out. The TRUTH will set you free, Hombre.

Just because she has a secret email account doesn't mean she's having an affair (although likely!). She may have a secret ebay addiction. It sounds like you haven't seen this email inbox yet if you're scrabbling around for a user name and password... yes I know some hacks to find out, but I'm not telling you.

Confront with what you know and ask her outright, and if she's not, then she won't mind firing up the email and letting you have a look for yourself if she's nothing to hide.

I've just gone through this, my hubby had a fling, he actually met on line and then met her....it is unfortunately illegal to go into your wifes' email account. She is probably addicted to her other man and as painful as it is, you have to accept your part in this. I have realised how my own behaviour caused my hubby to stray. I don't accept his behaviour of course, I am a strong Christian and what he did goes against everything I believe in but we too have 2 small children. I'm going to give you a link to a site that has helped me. We are now having counselling (it's only been a month since the meeting between them) and things are slowly improving. I feel for you, I know what it's like. I hope you 2 can sort this out.

Have a look around the web.
I'm sorry I can't refer to one precisely (as I've never used one myself) but I'm sure there are several 'Keystroke' Programs that will record everything typed into the computer. I imagine you'll find it after a bit of trawling through or at least read her outgoing mail.

If you´re using the same PC with your wife and specially if you are the Admin you can download a free "Desktop Monitoring" programm (google it) and configure it to take screenshots of your desktop every 3-5 minutes or so. Eventually you will get access to everything. Take care that the programm runs at stealth and of course take care that your wife hasn´t installed such a programm already, cause then she´ll knows!!!! Getting into her email won't solve or prove anything but just make you more angry and her more angry. That will accomplish absolutely nothing.
Forget about the email and with her directly and tell her how you feel and think and ask her how she feels and thinks.

HOPEFULLY you don't have any kids. If you do, instead of worrying about her stupid email I'd be getting a lawyer right now to fight for those kids! They don't need to be in a home with a ______. You know what I mean.

Take the computer to a computer tech and they can download all histories and passwords without damaging the computer.
Many men and women have "online affairs" vast majority never go any further then just words.... remember that.

why dont you just talk to her, sniffing around behind her back is just as bad as what you *think* she is doing. it could all be innocent. you wont be able to find her password or username. the only thing you could do is put a program on the computer that records everything that is typed and remains hidden from view. i'm not sure of any names but i know they exist as i came across one a few years ago. you could ask about that. it basically runs in the back grouns and everything that is tapped into the comp keyboard gets recorded. good luck but i still think you should just talk to her....
