I have 3 baby fry (baby fish) that survived from a batch of babies my guppy fish had. I heard that they can start reproducing at about a month of age. The 3 that I have are about 3 months old but yet they are sooo small! One of them has that dark gravid spot near the anal fin which means it is pregnant. Is it possible that it is pregnant, but yet soo tiny?

Yes it is possible for small females to breed at a very early age. That is why they are caled Millionfish

Yes the guppies can get pg at a ver young age. That is not good on the little fish. Just think about it as you owuld a very young girl (13) getting pg, not so good. It could kill her if the birthing was to hard.

She may or may not be pg at this time. Just because the G-spot is black is not 100%. The black g-spot is also the way you can tell if its male or female. You seem to know how to do that.

I would say getting a different tank as soon as you can. Puting females in one and male in the other. Then you can breed just the ones that you would like and save the yougers from having to birth at a young age.

Good luck

I've been breeding guppies (unintentionally) for quite some time now, and I've always had them spawn VERY early - at about 3 months of age (AFAIK). They usually have the dark gravid spot, though, regardless of whether or not they are pregnant when they are very young. It's possible, but then again, you never know unless you happen to see a few more lil' fish swimming around!

What is a HOPE for freedom to the fish?

Hello :
I myself once made the mistake of "tanking up" fish... I regret now what I once did... I have BAD DREAMS over it..... instead of dealing with animal exploitation why not try getting involved with plants. Or there are those neat "water toys" (the wind up ones, or electric ones). I hear that there are going to be little micro remote control devices coming out. Even simple rock gardens and water-falls can be fun.
Hope in awareness and understanding for great change.

NO!,but if you don't seperate them from the "adult" fish, they'll "magically"disappear, just like the others did?Have you wondered where the others went?Just a little?maybe?
Or do you believe that God made disappearing fish just for you?
