Sure but only slightly,we would have more John Lennon albums to listen to, and he would have personally been to most of the vigils where his imagine song was used. The most difference would be in his own family and Mark Chapman's the people that were most effected by his death. Going on his pattern he would most likely have divorced Yoko and remarried.

I do not think the world would really have been that different.
John Lennon had completed most of his career and in my view he might be considered a little bit too self-centred.
He was a musician and he could have been considered to add something to that field.

Not a bit. The fact that like JFK, James Dean, Marylin Monroe, and Princess Diana he died at a relatively young age under tragic circumstances has made him an icon. Had he been still living he would be regarded as a jaded old has been, probably making guest appearances on shows like "Grumpy Old Men".

Whilst the loss of John was unnecessary > His philosophy poetry and politics were left as a legacy that cannot be denied . Celebrate ones life , not the what ifs of ones death

Nope... might have had a few more wooly self-indulgent noodling MOR albums in it, but that's about the extent of it... after all, what real impact had he had on the world in the 15 years prior to his death???
