To return to the fundamental aim of sport--any kind of sport--these 'clubs' and 'pro players' are ALL wrong.
Sport shouldn't be made competitive, neither should it be a commercial activity. Really, sport is nothing at its most meaningful but a demonstration of integrity. After all, why run fast for the sake of running fast? And kicking a ball doesn't do anything for the good of mankind--sport is the willingness to try and also to be honest. The spirit of a game is in its making.
As for commercialization--sport loses its integrity as the main purpose becomes medals and money.
But never mind. Here's my answer--anyone would do that. Clubs buy and sell, that's what they were made for. If you're still bitter though you may content yourself with this--Chelsea despite it swanky players and sky-high pay packjages appears to be losing. Pathetic really.

Basically there is nothing wrong with the game - that hasn't changed - but the ethics behind it have. Years ago it would have been considered totally unethical to completely buy up the 'opposition' - but unfortunately now it seems to be completely acceptable. I know that there has always been a divide between the top clubs and the 'others' of the Premiership, but Chelsea have taken this to a completely unacceptable level. I'm glad Liverpool won yesterday to prove the point that money can't buy you everything (even if they didn't seem to want the trophy).

Chelski still has to play a whole lot of football to win (buy) the league again. In each of those games it will be 11 vs 11 men, all highly trained, fit and competitive.
true, on paper, chelsea have probably the best 11 in the world, but if the 11 of watford and west ham, and not to mention the blades, believe they can beat this team, stay confident, don't make any mistakes, and punish chelski for theirs, it will prove that football cannot be bought, and on the day any 11 can beat any 11.

Very true, They have way too much money and are monopolizing all the best players. They are risking being too good in the premiership, and turning the premiership into a much weaker league like Celtic and Rangers with the Scottish league. However, this can't happen until they actually start to win the Champions League, and although they have more money than anyone else, they still can't get past the quarters. Maybe money can't buy you silverware after all.....

Just Chelsea?
Anyone who gets paid by an organisation £50+k a week for playing a game of football is what's wrong with it.
Don't get me wrong - I like football, I just think the economics of it are abhorrent. Fining a player a weeks wages for being caught taking drugs or a particularly nasty foul? Pathetic. Pocket money.

I don't think so... I'm not a Chelsea fan, but they've raised the bar for quality of play, it's now up to everyone else to keep up!
I think in the long run it can only improve the quality of the Premiership and make it the best in the world!

not EVERYTHING, but a lot.
I live in a bygone era, but at least my team used the off season to save an old struggling club. And they commit the least fouls, and fire the least managers. (Liverpool)
I liked Chelsea before the change, one year Man U lost only two games, Chelsea home / away. They used to be giant killers, now they have become what they hated.

I don't see the problem with Chelsea. I don't support them so I'm not biased. They have the money so they'll spend it. I think its more to do with the teams who where used to dominating that are starting to whinge. Everything comes to an end at some point, that's the nature of the game

It took me ages to get sick of the Arsenal fans when their team was undisputed number one - The behaviour and attitude of the chelsea massive have made my sh1t list in record time.
Chelsea are everything that is wrong with football, and probably the cause of many of the worlds natural disasters also - they must be stopped before they kill us all!!
