It actually sort of depends on his own reaction to his name. In other words, if he is very comfortable with it, he probably won't get teased. People tend to jump on something if they know that you are feeling uncomfortable with it.

Every kid is teased in school about something. Besides, I've found that having an unusual name makes kids grow up to be either wildly successful or criminally insane. It's a nice name, though. Very unique.

Easy swap to u-re -ah the stuff found in urine. Odds are as he gets older he will be teased. But then again most kids are teased about something.

Yes. I hope you named him after a relative. Otherwise, what were you thinking?
Seriously, people! Stop naming your kids weird stuff!! I had enough trouble with my name when I was growing up. Even now, people think that I'm a guy before they meet me. What's worse, they expect an old, fat, white guy. I STILL get dumb comments: "where'd you get a name like that???". And my name is actually a family name. I just tell people that my parents were hippies (true), which makes people just nod their heads and say "ok". I repeat, stop embarrassing your offspring!

Parents are being too cutesy about original names...look at all the new names in the newspapers...they forget that the child will have to live with racial slurs, mis-pronounciations, embarassing nicknames...and if they enter the military...it gets worse....it singles them out. Should have thought about it before and now he will have to live with your cleverness.

That's a cool name. I don't see any way they could tease him about it.
