I'd say it's the soap opera Days of Our Lives. Other than that, I think The simpsons is the longest running tv series with 17 seasons.

The longest-running TV show is actually Meet the Press on NBC, which has been running since 1947.

Gunsmoke is the longest so far running 20 years from 1955 to 1975.

Simpsons will pass that but is currently at 18 years.

It was Gunsmoke, but I don't know now. Did that crappy show the Simpsons pass it up yet? I would think some soap opera would be winner of the I been on tv too long award!

The Simpsons, and btw, the person who said everybody loves raymond, it only ran for 9 seasons, Friends even beat it by one season. Simpsons has like more than 25 seasons, and probably almost double than that by now
