The answers so far are all correct.
Its important to keep warm, and sweat it out. Do not take aspirin, or Tamiflu, or any other concoctions which are designed to reduce the fever. The fever is what is killing the virus, and if you reduce the fever, the virus will survive.
My solution is to get some exercise so that you are breathing as deeply as possible, drink a hot drink, maybe with a drop of whisky or brandy, wrap up warmly, and get in bed with a hot sexy person, or as many of the aove as you can achieve.

Unless the fever is over 102 do not take anything to lower the temp. The fever is actually the body's natural defense against the germs inside you. The tylenol at 102 helps keep the fever from going too high. Don't cover up and "sweat it out" as it will cause the fever to rise higher and could damage your brain.

OTC medicines just treat the symptoms. Take them if you need to. Don't take any antibiotics because its useless. The flu is a caused by a virus. The best option is to give support care with lots of fluids (water, fruit juice, clear soups), and lots of Vitamin C. You should feel better in a few days. Otherwise, go see a doctor.

Rose hip tea and feverfew tea, they can be infused together. But be careful for allergies in any type of herbal remedies. You can also use Euculyptus to help with any congestion problems, just boil, remove from stove, pour into heat proof bowl and lay towel over head and face, but be careful not to get steam burnt.
