Come on you super Reds! Watching yesterday's performance I think we'll have a good season - the squad are very promising! And Jose Moanrino's face was a picture!

They have as good a chance of challenging Chelsea as anybody, and look at the Charity Shield.

Arsenal will be stronger in a year or two, and Man U are going in the other direction.

In my dreams West Ham or Charlton!

Given the quality of the Big 4 in the Premiership, any team who wants to win has to beat the middle-ranking teams (Wigan, Blackburn) as well as those whose ambition is to avoid relegation (Watford, Fulham) consistently. You cannot have an off day because your international players don't fancy a cold day somewhere like Middlesborough. That was the real quality leap Chelsea made a couple of years ago. If Liverpool (or Arsenal or Spurs) get near enough 100% against the lesser teams, the matches against Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs effectively turn into cup ties and even if you are not the favourite you have a reasonable chance.

P.S. Of course, you must beat Man U twice. That goes without saying,.

Why not? Liverpool are definitely stronger this season than the last, and Man Utd and Arsenal are most definitely out because their squads are young and still developing. I think it will boil down to Liverpool and Chelsea in the end, but Liverpool will just edge it. As long as they beat Chelsea in the Premiership, they can be champions.

I am a mjor Liverpool fan and unfortunately I cannot see us getting there this year. We need an out and out striker to make the team complete. I will be very happy if we can reach 2nd or 3rd. There is no reason why not.
I do think that Chelseas reign at the top will come to an end though.

I personally don't think Liverpool has the staying power to win the Premiership. I think they will be in a fight for second or third with Spurs and Arsenal. Chelsea are favourites for me.

Liverpool have strengthened their squad in their right places and will win the league. They have really bought great players. Pennant and Bellamy have Amazing Pace and will put a few goals in the back of the net. Maybe Pennant wont score too Crouch's head. Aurelio and Gonzales also looked very good and they will prove themselves soon. In my honest opinion Rafa has Outsmarted Jose "The Special One" and LFC will win the league now

Liverpool, premiership champs? Why not? They have the capacity, the popularity, and the money to do it. Chelsea is on their way down!

Nope, runners up I think. I know they beat Chelsea yesterday, but I think Chelsea's squad is what will win it for them. They have so much cover in all areas. I think Liverpool will be close though

oh man. Its a bit hard to judge at the moment but somewhat seeing yesterday's performance against chelsea i would think liverpool have a hell lot of potential man... expect more from them. whether or not they will win premership is still a bit hard to say. But it will definitely not be chelsea's year
