It did, but the Golden goal by Maxi Rodriguez against Mexico was not said to be a golden goal even though it was basically the same.

golden goal was not well received. imagine if the opponent score in the 3rd minute of extra time, it would be cruel to end the game because the other team has no chance of equalising. why use golden goal since it is very cruel?

it was very cruel. imagine playing 5 matches to reach euro final then in 1 second u crash out. that s what happened to italia in 2000and there was no way back.

they did have the golden goal. you probaly missed it when it was on because i saw like 3 golden goals!
