I'm english, love wales, never had a reason to dislike the welsh, don't understand why for example you here them talking in english to each other in a shop, then when you speak to them they speak welsh and pretend they can't speak english! why what did our idiotic english ancestors do to upset them so much? ( all welsh people don't do that i know - i've met alot of very nice welsh people)

The English invaded us (complete with raping and pillaging, wars were more interesting back then!) and then tried to wipe out our language and culture. The English hate the Welsh because we would never give in completely!

I don't think it's a case off the welsh hate the English, they have always been very loyal too the English, fighting in most battles for the English.
It's more like the other way around, the English hate the welsh, and that's only for one reason that I can really see, is because the Welsh have their own language, so the English see them as rude!!!!

The English do not hate the Welsh at all, in fact we love the beautiful countryside and like to share their sheep! The Welsh hate us though because we take all the pretty ones!

I know, it's funny isn't it? We just kind of carry on with it, Not Bothering, and actually generally quite liking the Welsh and the Scots and the Cornish (Yep, them too!) and they really can't stand us. I think it stems down to wanting independance, but I'm not sure inport/export-wise they'd be able to stand alone.
I met a Scot in a pub in Newquay watching ENgland play, and he was actually supporting us, so I turned round and asked him why most Scots would rather anyone win than England, and he said it's cos they're jealous. No word of a lie, that's what he said.
Daft, I'd just let them get on with it.

It all stems back to the time when the English goverment made it illegal to have s*x with sheep ! They have never forgiven us
