bought ipod, lost it , didn't renew warranty. Found it.-Do what?

I had hid it so it wouldn't be stolen, then forgot where it was. Until I found it it again cleaning up .
since 1 year warrenty expired, and i hadn't renewed or bought apple care plan , is it a tiny electronic money pit now?

Uh, not really. Take good care of it, and it's probably fine. I never buy a warranty on anything except MAJOR purchases like... cars, and anything over like, $5000. Most people never use their warranties - which is why companies can offer them.
