You still have twelve more years of growing ahead of you. You could stay where you are or shoot up 24 inches in just two years. Ask Kareem Abdul-Jabbar what that was like. First, remember that all growth takes place at night, when you are sleeping. Getting at least eight hours of sleep, but ten would be better, is very important at your stage of life. It is also when your brain sorts and stores everything you learned during the day. You immune system regenerates, and your muscles re-oxidizes. Less sleep and all those functions are affected. Now, when I mean growth, I do mean all growth.

(WARNING, OLD FART IS ABOUT TO SAY SOMETHING EMBARRASSING TO YOU YOUNG FOLKS.)

So, not getting proper sleep means your tally whacker may not get as long as it potentially could have.

Don't worry about your height. In the years to come, as the availability of males becomes more acute, your height is not going to matter in finding a good relationship.

I'm 5'3" and my beloved is 5'5" and we are both considered very attractive young people :)
I used to think I'm rather short and I would wear high-heels all the time but since I'm with him, I've realized that's quite pointless - you cannot measure beauty/wit/virtue/... with a ruler, can you? Just a note(: my boyfriend's been Extremely popular with the opposite sex ever since he was a teenager although he is actually shorter than what's generally accepted as 'medium height'. However, that really doesn't matter much so long as you have Charisma ;)
And you are 5'6" - which I wouldn't say is too short, besides, people continue growing until their early- to mid-twenties. So you really needn't worry about your height :)

If you aren't happy wearing higher heels or lifts in your shoes you can always have the bones in your legs sawed in half, then they place a metal contraption called a "halo' around your legs. As the bones attempt to grown back together screws on the halo are turned so the bones continue to stay a specific distance apart. I understand you can grow 3 inches of new bone (maybe more since I've heard of this technique) this way. Of course it's very painful and, frankly, 5' 6" isn't all that short.

If you are 18 years old, you might be done growing.

However, taking some hard core Pilates classes could help you a little bit.

Hard core yoga could help you also.

Stay away from any form of medication which claims to make you taller, becuase you are 18 and that will not work. And, gosh knows what those meds do to your hormones.

You could try eating more..
It's not really sure if it's going to help though.
I'm as old as you and the same height.
Some people are just that small. It's in the genes. Especially by asian people. I don't know if you are asian. It kinda looks like you are though by the picture.
=P Short people have a better immune system though and don't get ill as fast as tall people.

You can't. Period. Wear heels, or walk on stilts, but that's it.
