Are you Korean? I believe Independence Day is March 4th (1919) and August 15th is Liberation Day (1945). Anyway, I went to a Korean festival in Kingston, England this weekend. There was a tae kwon do demonstration, a war vets' parade, Korean food (but no pat bing soo), and Korean music. It was good fun. Ten years ago I was in Seoul on Liberation Day and saw Hangchongnyon rioting at Seoul National University. That was interesting but not so pleasant!
