Just came home off a flight from Florida. Security checks were pretty speedy here in the U.S. They say flying is still the safest form of travel, but it is also the scariest.
I don't remember anyone getting carjacked by Al Quaeda and getting blown to smithereens on the way to the supermarket.

Anyway, I think I'll fly until the next terrorist attack. Just hope it's not on my plane!

Heck, with cost standing in the way, I don't even have the luxury of worrying over security procedures.

As long as you follow the rules, keep alert and get there early, there should be no problems. You just have to check all your stuff in now instead of taking a carry on with you. Better safe than sorry. Remember to wear easy off/on shoes since they are requiring everyone to remove their shoes to be xrayed.

Sadly, I purchased a ticket before all this latest news came out for late this fall. The alert level is now down to orange. Not very comforting.

Absolutely I'm ready to travel! Why let the terrorists win by staying home? Lets go!

Yeah, but all the really good places require a plane to get there. You can't exactly drive to anywhere tropical.
