Yes, simply open your ipod tunes via the USB cable and drag and drop the files in- will work just fine.. or else- sell your ipod and just hum your favourite tracks- you can shuffle, replay, or simply babble incoherently- a feature currently not available on ipods.

I'm not really experienced with ipods but with my experience you should be able to drag and drop all the music through itunes by selecting everything on your ipod then dropping it on your library.
Or you can open My Computer then under "Devices With Removable Storage" you should be able too see the name of your ipod if you gave it one or it will simply be "Removable Disk". Then you open it up and look for the "ipod Control" folder, open that and copy the music folder inside onto your computer, your desktop would be an ideal place. Then you can import them to your itunes by adding the folder to your library from wherever you copied it to.
To be on the safe side, do not open your itunes in the event that your ipod gets automatically updated.
Tell me if this works for you.

I would either get an external portable harddrive or one of those data sicks and transfer them that way. If you hook up your ipod to several computers with itunes, it will replace the library on your ipod with the library on the computer you hook it to. If you buy a program like xplay you could do it because it allows you to upload songs from your ipod to a computer.

frequently in case you sync you iPod you loose a number of the songs, so what you would possibly want to do is in iTunes on the gadget web page, tick the 'manually' block and then pass the songs over. click on the first music, preserving down the 'shift' key and then clicking on the perfect music. this may decide on all of your songs in you library. Then drag and drop them onto your gadget ipod contact. I have 2 libraries, one on my pc and one on my laptop. in an attempt to sync each and every time is a project.
