I think statistics are good to inform....but not persuade/propaganda.

I mean, I consider it pretty interesting what percent a certain race is in the overall population. Or how many smokers die per day.

But I couldn't care less if 4 out of 5 doctors recommend a hair growth pill. I don't buy it! They shouldn't be used/made up just for the sake of making a point. I don't care what percentage of teen mothers graduate from high school....its given that it should be low. I don't care what percentage of people don't like Bush, you will always have some amount of the population showing dissatisfaction from peope who choose to stick to their political party.

100% of me says statistics have a purpose.

I love statistics, as long as they come from a reputable and unbiased source.

No. I don't hate it. Just don't like it. See no use or such math unless you're going to be a business major.
