Hi mate, it would have been Kenneth Williams' Rambling Sid Rumpo character from either Beyond Our Ken or Round The Horne. BBC Radio comedy series from the 1960's.

The actual writer was more likely to have been Barry Took. Williams didn't write any of his own stuff. He was too busy with his diary.
