Dear,

May be u get somethin' through this...

Like the rabbis of his time, Jesus used simple word-pictures, called parables, to help people understand who God is and what his kingdom or reign is like. Jesus used images and characters taken from everyday life to create a miniature play or drama to illustrate his message. This was Jesus most common way of teaching. His stories appealed to the young and old, poor and rich, and to the learned and unlearned as well. Over a third of the Gospels by Matthew, Mark, and Luke contain parables told by Jesus. Jesus loved to use illustrations to reach the heart of his listeners through their imagination. These word-pictures challenged the mind to discover a new what God is like and moved the heart to make a response to God's love and truth. Like a skillful artist, Jesus painted evocative pictures with short and simple words. A good picture can speak more loudly and clearly than many words. Jesus used the ordinary everyday to point to another order of reality -- hidden, yet visible to those who had "eyes to see" and "ears to hear". Jesus communicated with pictures and stories, vivid illustrations which captured the imaginations of his audience more powerfully than an abstract presentation could. His parables are like buried treasure waiting to be discovered (Matt. 13:44).

thanks & regards..

Parables are used by all religious masters. Within oriental culture they are usually referred to as Koans. They are a way to express the unexpressable, to verbalize something which in essence cannot be verbalized. Parable also strikingly resemble Myths and Folktales, and Morality Plays. It is a way to get someone to understand something that is believed or felt.

a)He wanted people to make their own conclusions
b) He didnt want those who were opposed to him to understand just incase they wanted to twist his words
c)He also wanted to know exactly who among his listeners were attentive enough to get the message
d) As a teacher it was his way of teaching just like different teachers hav different ways of teachin
e) He as well wanted his listeners to pay attention since most of th parables were interestin
f) Most of his teachings were against th jews traditions so by using the parables.th jewish leaders didnt get th message thus he continued preachin without much oppositions
g)His parables were real time stories this made most of his listeners to believe him

So the people at that time could understand what connection he was making in a spiritual sence, if the question was reguarding a matter of the law convenant or a matter of their everyday customs. If the question was in reguards to a prophecy or something that hasn't happen yet, then they would have to be enlightened spiritually in order to understand.

He used seeds to explain this, he said "those who listen will find different meanings to what I say". Then he threw the seeds in different places and gave examples of how only few would comprehend what he was saying the rest would not. Only he would know who understood and those who had failed to understand. Look for a video other than "the passion".

Mainly because in the days he preached, the people were basically uneducated, and teaching them through stories got his points across and illustrated his ideas.

Chow!!
