i'm going away on friday and i think my b/f may be going to ask me to marry him or at least some time in the near future! I'm excited about this i will definately say yes! but what if he doesn't and i've got completely the wrong end of the stick? should i ask him?

No because if you think he is going to ask you you will ruin his surprise. Maybe drop a few hints and see the reaction, if you see a man shaped hole in the door then you know you were probably wrong.......

Try not to. You are probably reading the correct signals in which case why spoil a wonderful moment because you are impatient.
He will feel put out because it is an important moment for him too.
If you ask him, even if he says yes, you will always have that niggling doubt that it may not have been the right time for him.
If by some chance you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. It will resolve itself in time and you won't have humiliation of being rejected.

Well Im sure he will at some time. All good things come to who waits. Why not wait a little longer and see what happens and if not then go a head and ask. Im sure he will say yes to you.

In my culture if you asked me I would think you want me so badly. I would start asking myself what makes you so hurrying. It could be that you see your future getting married, which I think isn't your case. Be patient my dear, the boy will make the first step, sooner or later. Take care

Don't expect too much.. sometimes whats wrong is expect a lot then when our expectations were never met, we will feel very upset. Just let it be.. whatever happen, be ready. If I were you, you can try to talk to him about it.. If he's ready to get married for sure its very easy for him to talk about it, but if not, just wait and have patience.. and still love your partner.

tell him do you think its about time we got engaged, he'll say yes but dont rush ahead of yourself with marriage. nowdays marriage is too easy for me its sacred. i wouldnt marry my woman if i wasnt ready or wanted to. at the minute we cant afford it but i want to give her the wedding she deserves. slow down and enjoy life dont expect too much out of it and you'll be very very happy.
